Zhongxin Chuangwei provides clock synchronization equipment for Angola’s “Five Stations and One Line” railway project.


Recently, the Angola Railway “Five Stations and One Line” project required a time server. Beijing Zhongxin Chuang promptly collaborated to develop a detailed solution for the client and recommended its self‑developed and manufactured DNTS‑82‑RGB model as the bid‑winning product. Following a fiercely competitive bidding process, Zhongxin Chuang stood out thanks to its high‑quality products and comprehensive after‑sales service, ultimately securing the contract for the clock‑synchronization server component of the Angola Railway “Five Stations and One Line” project.

The Angola Railway is, following the Tanzania–Zambia Railway built with Chinese assistance in the 1970s, the longest railway ever constructed overseas by China Railway Construction Corporation using Chinese standards in a single phase. The Benguela Railway, stretching 1,344 kilometers, begins in the west… Atlantic Ocean The port city of Lobito, extending eastward to Luau—a border town on the frontier with the Democratic Republic of the Congo—and passing through key urban centers such as Benguela, Huambo, Cuito, and Luena, serves as a vital corridor within Angola’s Lobito Economic Corridor. With a design speed of 90 kilometers per hour, this railway is the fastest ever built in the country.

The Benguela Railway project has a total investment of approximately US$1.83 billion and is being undertaken by China Railway Construction Corporation No. 20 Bureau Group under an EPC (Engineering–Procurement–Construction) contract. From design to construction, the entire project adheres to Chinese railway construction standards; rails, cement, telecommunications equipment, and other materials are all sourced from China, and the locomotives, rolling stock, and other equipment commissioned upon operation will also be supplied by Chinese companies.

DNTS-82-RGB A time server is a high‑tech, intelligent, stand‑alone clock synchronization server that operates independently and complies with the NTP/SNTP protocols, delivering high‑precision timekeeping. DNTS-82-RGB The time server obtains standard clock signal information from GPS or BeiDou geostationary satellites and transmits this data across the network, enabling devices that require time synchronization—such as computers and controllers—to align with the standard clock. When both GPS and BeiDou receivers are in use, a priority can be configured; by default, BeiDou is prioritized, with GPS serving as a backup. If neither receiver receives a signal, the DNTS‑84‑OGB relies on its built-in temperature‑compensated crystal oscillator for holdover, achieving a holdover accuracy of up to 1 × 10⁻⁹. DNTS-82-RGB Using standard clock information transmitted over a TCP/IP network, the DNTS-84-0GB supports multiple popular time‑distribution protocols, such as NTP and time/UDP, and also accommodates Sinotech’s proprietary time‑broadcast packets on a configurable UDP port. The port numbers for NTP and time/UDP are fixed at 123 and 37, respectively, as specified in RFC‑123 and RFC‑37. DNTS-82-RGB It also supports the broadcast mode of the SNTP protocol.
