The DNTS-8 time server, developed by Beijing Zhongxinchuang Technology Co., Ltd., is a high-tech, intelligent, stand-alone clock synchronization server that operates based on the NTP/SNTP protocols and delivers high precision. The DNTS-8 time server obtains standard clock signal information from GPS geostationary satellites and transmits this information across the network, enabling devices requiring time signals—such as computers and controllers—to synchronize with the standard clock. When all receivers lose signal, the DNTS-8 relies on its built-in temperature-compensated crystal oscillator for timekeeping, achieving a timing accuracy of up to 1E-9. The DNTS-8 uses standard clock information transmitted over TCP/IP networks and supports multiple popular time‑broadcasting protocols, including NTP and time/UDP; it can also accommodate custom time‑broadcast data packets defined by Zhongxinchuang Technology, with configurable UDP ports. The port numbers for NTP and time/UDP are fixed at 123 and 37, respectively, as specified in RFC-123 and RFC-37. Additionally, the DNTS-8 supports the broadcast mode of the SNTP protocol.
