Friendly Reminder Regarding the BeiDou System Upgrade and Notice of Upgrade Services

Hello!
According to the official schedule of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, the system will complete its upgrade and transition in the near future. The specific arrangements are as follows:
April 3: The short-message system will undergo a switchover; some devices may experience abnormal message reception or service congestion.
April 10–30: The positioning and timing system will undergo a transition, with the original BeiDou‑2 satellites gradually being decommissioned. The PRN numbers of the decommissioned BeiDou‑2 satellites will be reassigned to BeiDou‑3 satellites. Following the switch, the B1Q and B2I signals will no longer be transmitted, which may result in degraded or interrupted service for terminals that previously relied on these signals. Additionally, some terminals designed to receive only BeiDou‑3 satellites with PRN numbers 18 and above may experience a reduction in the number of available satellites and a decline in service quality.
After May 1: BeiDou-2 will enter the accompanying operation phase, which will last for three months.

This upgrade may cause some earlier‑batch time servers and time‑synchronization systems that rely on BeiDou timing to experience reduced satellite reception and timing‑positioning failures.
