Product Overview
The network time server DNTS-7, developed by Beijing Zhongxinchuang Technology Co., Ltd., is a high-tech, intelligent, stand-alone time server based on the NTP/SNTP protocols. DNTS-7 obtains standard clock signal information from GPS geostationary satellites and transmits this information across the network, enabling devices that require time signals—such as computers and controllers—to synchronize with the standard clock. Standard clock information is transmitted via the TCP/IP network, and DNTS-7 supports multiple popular time‑broadcasting protocols, including NTP and time/UDP, as well as Zhongxinchuang’s proprietary time‑broadcast data packets with configurable UDP ports. The port numbers for NTP and time/UDP are fixed at 123 and 37, respectively, as specified in RFC-123 and RFC-37. Additionally, DNTS-7 supports the broadcast mode of the SNTP protocol.
The DNTS‑7 is available in several models: the DNTS‑71 features one 10/100M adaptive Ethernet port; the DNTS‑72 has two such ports; the DNTS‑74 offers four; the DNTS‑76 provides six; and the DNTS‑78 includes eight. The Ethernet ports are physically isolated from one another to ensure data security, and they can all be configured to belong to the same network segment or to different segments. The device also supports redundancy, so a failure of one port will not affect the operation of the others. Each Ethernet port must be assigned an independent IP address.
