Product Overview
The network time server DNTS-2, developed by Beijing Zhongxinchuang Technology Co., Ltd., is a compact, stand-alone time server based on the NTP/SNTP protocols. DNTS-2 obtains standard clock signal information from GPS or BeiDou geostationary satellites and transmits this information over the network, enabling devices that require time signals—such as computers and controllers—to synchronize with the standard clock. Standard clock information is transmitted via the TCP/IP network, and DNTS-2 supports multiple popular time‑broadcasting protocols, including NTP and time/UDP. It also supports Zhongxinchuang’s proprietary time‑broadcast data packets with configurable UDP ports. The port numbers for NTP and time/UDP are fixed at 123 and 37, respectively, as specified in RFC-123 and RFC-37.
The DNTS‑2 is extremely easy to use: simply connect the satellite antenna’s output to the antenna input BNC port, and plug the DNTS‑2’s network port into a HUB; the entire network will then be time‑synchronized. With a built-in receiver, just mount the antenna in an unobstructed outdoor location—ideally on a rooftop. If installation on an exterior wall is necessary, position it as far from the wall as possible to ensure accurate reception of the satellite signal.
DNTS-2 offers outdoor receiving antennas in 10-meter, 15-meter, and 30-meter lengths, as well as a 5-meter ceiling‑mount antenna, allowing users to select the option best suited to their specific needs. Zhongxin Chuangke can also provide wall‑mount brackets.
